Please join The Estate in welcoming the Trim/Breiwick Quartet to the Estate stage for two shows on Thursday, February 27th!
 

Guitarist Andrew Murray Trim, along with Jamie Breiwick and his effortless phrasing on the trumpet will grace the Estate stage for two unique sets as they perform music from their 2024 duo release "Ordinary Poems" as well as other material. Rounding out the quartet will be two of Milwaukee's most respected and in-demand players, stand-up bassist Clay Schaub and Devin Drobka on the drums.

Please join The Estate in welcoming the Steve Peplin + Amanda Huff Duo to the Estate stage for two nights of shows on Friday, March 7th and Saturday March 8th!

 

Longtime collaborators and close bandmates since 2017, Amanda Huff and Steve Peplin will be stripping down their usual lineups to bring The Estate an intimate look into their personal work and influences as a duo. Known as the frontmen of experimental jazz septet “Strangelander”, both Huff and Peplin are uniquely distinct in their own capacities. Peplin with a prolific background in jazz guitar and symphonic orchestration, and Huff a mainstay in the local pop and electronic scene. Together they plan to take the audience on a journey through unreleased material, fan favorites, jazz classics, and covers of some of the work that inspired the musicians they are today.

Jazz Flux

Jazz Flux is a group comprising several of Milwaukee's most active performing jazz musicians. The love of jazz has brought this group together to create and maintain one of America's great musical traditions. The group derives it's unique sound from elements of hip hop, R&B, and pop while incorporating elements of those genres into it's performances of traditional jazz. Along with multiple musical influences the band's performances are distinguished by the high energy the band brings; byproduct of the groups passion for the music and friendship with one another.

For this evenings performance, Jamill Shaw will be joined by guitarist John Zaffiro, bassist Aden Stier, pianist Ken Kosut, and drummer Victor Campbell.

Fareed Haque Quartet

March 15th, 7pm & 9:30pm

Please join The Estate in welcoming jazz legend Fareed Haque and his quartet to the Estate stage for two shows on Saturday, March 15th!

Fareed Haque is a modern guitar virtuoso. Steeped in classical and jazz traditions, his unique command of the guitar and different musical styles inspire his musical ventures with tradition and fearless innovation. Over his lengthy career, Fareed has toured and recorded with the likes of with Joe Henderson, Herbie Mann, Bob James, Arturo Sandoval and Joe Zawinul.

He'll be joining us with his quartet at the Estate for two shows on March 15th to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his Blue Note Records release 'Opaque". This one's not to be missed!

Tael Estremera Quartet – An Evening Of Thelonious Monk

Your host Tael Estremera joined by his quartet of Clay Lions (Sax), Liam Phillips (Bass) and Yanni Chudnow (Drums) will dig deep to deliver an evening of selections from the catalog of the great Thelonious Monk.

 

Come experience the music of the legend, played by some of Milwaukee's finest players with a heaping dose of those great Estate vibes in the mix. It's a recipe for a Thursday night you won't want to miss!

NINETEEN THIRTEEN

Cellist Janet Schiff, playing a Romanian-made cello crafted in the year of1913 (hence the name!) and Percussionist Victor DeLorenzo, (founding drummer of ​Violent Femmes) create the new and dynamic sound that is NINETEEN THIRTEEN. Powered by cello layers and beat-brush percussion, this multiple WAMI award winning ensemble defies expectations and rewards listeners with powerful imagery through their music!

For this evenings performance, Janet and Victor will be joined by Matt Meixner on Keyboards, bringing an added layer of depth to the music. No strangers to the Estate's stage, NINETEEN THIRTEEN's past performances here have always been "can't miss" shows!

Righteous Rooster

Righteous Rooster is a Chicago-based organ trio featuring Henry Dickhoff on organ, Kenny Reichert on guitar, and Luke Sagadin on drums and cymbals. Drawing inspiration from the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Soulive, Medeski Martin & Wood, Goldings/Bernstein/Stewart, Grant Green, and the Sam Yahel Trio, they blend rich grooves with soulful melodies, crafting music that honors the classic organ trio tradition while embracing contemporary influences.

The trio’s debut album, Fowl Play (2024, Shifting Paradigm Records) showcases their versatility with six dynamic tracks that blend “greasy funk rhythms, jazz-blues licks, and soulful interplay,” as noted by Textura. UK Vibe celebrates the album's “impassioned funk and soul,” while All About Jazz praises its infectious energy, stating it quickly passes the "can't sit still" test. JazzWax hails it as “one of the best organ trio albums of the year,” and the UK Jazz Journal highlights the trio's "fresh, engaging sound that showcases their mastery and innovative spirit.” Chicago Jazz Magazine affirms that “it’s worth the time to investigate.” As WDCB 90.9FM puts it, Fowl Play is "exactly the funk that you're looking for from an organ trio."

Javier Santiago

Los Angeles based pianist and composer Javier Santiago is one of the most promising voices in the international music scene today. As an accomplished educator, arranger, and producer/beatmaker, Santiago has become a notable force in both the beat and hip-hop scenes as well as in the jazz world.
 

The Minneapolis-born Santiago was exposed to a myriad of great music and talented musicians in his early years. Taking his inspiration and career endeavors to the next level, he furthered his path by relocating to New York City to attend The New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music, then later moved out West, first to the Bay Area in 2017, and then to Los Angeles in 2021, which remains his home base. Santiago is an alumnus of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA and The Brubeck Institute Fellowship Program. He was a finalist in the American Jazz Pianist competition in 2015, a recipient of the 2016 McKnight Fellowship for Musicians, and was selected to participate in the 14th Annual Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program in 2011.
 

Javier Santiago has had the distinguished opportunity to play with many celebrated musicians on today’s jazz scene including Herbie Hancock, Terrace Martin, Louis Cole, Alex Isley, Jonathan Kreisberg, Azar Lawrence, Theo Croker, Kenneth Whalum, Aja Monet, John Raymond, Sheila Jordan, and Yosvany Terry.

Christian Dillingham Quartet

Versatile. Dynamic. Compelling. Grammy Award-winning bassist Christian Dillingham is “a 21st Century artist to keep an eye on...” (Chicago Jazz). A sought-after collaborator, his nuanced interpretations, dynamic performances, and expressive musicality are praised in the jazz, classical and recording arenas.

​

A regular presence in Chicago’s rich jazz scene, Dillingham has performed and recorded with dozens of distinguished musicians, including Sean Jones, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Terreon Gully, Herlin Riley, Bobby Broom, Peter Bernstein, and Victor Goines. On the classical stage, Christian Dillingham is a tenured member of the MacArthur Award-winning Chicago Sinfonietta, as well as a member of Present Music (Milwaukee), Fulcrum Point New Music Project, Matt Jones Orchestra, and Chicago Philharmonic.

Dillingham also leads his own band, The Christian Dillingham Quartet which features his original compositions. Christian's standout second album "Halcyon" was released in October, 2024 and we're happy to finally be able to bring he and his quartet north to Milwaukee to grace the Estate's stage for you!
